Affliated to Periyar University
The Department was established in 1979 with B.Sc. Chemistry programme and the shift-II classes started in the academic year 2007-2008. It became a post-graduate department in the year 2012, offering M.Sc., Chemistry. The department possesses sufficient lab facilities and equipments. The department has student strength of 320 UG and PG students with a well-qualified set of the faculty members involved in the teaching-learning process. A team of 12 dedicated and enthusiastic faculty members work for the student community, Servicing as excellent role models to students for safe and ethical professional behavior and encouraging students to value diversity and to develop a global perspective through exposure in Chemistry. The department providing quality programmes to the students to get good academic knowledge and analytical skills.
